In light of recommendations from the UK government, The Society of London Theatre and UK Theatre we have been faced with the difficult decision to cancel the remaining dates of the Ramps on the Moon tour of Oliver Twist. This will mean that there will be no performances at New Wolsey Theatre (25 March – 4 April), the Birmingham Repertory Theatre (29 April – 9 May), Nottingham Playhouse (16 – 25 April), Sheffield Crucible Theatre (13-23 May) and Theatre Royal Stratford East (28 May – 6 June).

This was not a decision made in haste, especially when the entire industry is faced with such an uncertain time.

We would like to thank you for your ongoing support and understanding at this uncertain and anxious time for us all.

Ramps on the Moon, led by New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich, brings together a network of six National Portfolio Organisation theatres including Birmingham Repertory Theatre, Theatre Royal Stratford East, Nottingham Playhouse, Leeds Playhouse, Sheffield Theatres and strategic partner Graeae Theatre. Although they are ever grateful for the public funding they receive, this only amounts to a small percentage of the income required to keep moving forward so we would like to invite you to donate your ticket to your corresponding theatre. We would also like to urge audiences to consider how they can support their local theatre through donations, memberships and collaboration where appropriate.
