Saw The Government Inspector in Sheffield last night, thoroughly enjoyed it. I wish all theatre performances were captioned as normal practice. It was quite unobtrusive and would extend the time for people like myself, with age related and quite severe hearing loss, to enjoy theatre going and to hear all that’s being said.
There was no sense of ‘tokenness’ about seeing the disabled actors and non disabled working together. It was totally natural and reflected the reality of the world.Thankyou.
